Halloween Desk Decorations!
Halloween Desk Decorations.
Is time for Halloween! I will say that I really like this time of the year because when can do so many things. Now, I know that sometimes we can´t get dressed or throw big parties due to work or responsibilities. But we still can enjoy this time of the year with few decorations for desk o different tables.
I decided to do three tutorials so you can choose the best for you.
Let´s star with characters with popsicle sticks.
For this you will need:
-Popsicle Sticks (You can paint them o buy them all ready painted)
-Moving Eyes
-Glue
-Black Markers
Instructions:
1- Put in line 8 Popsicle Sticks to create each face and pasted 2 popsicle sticks horizontal on the 8 one that you choose and paste it.
You can create as many as you want. I made 2 oranges ones and the second one I painted white to create a ghost.
Let´s create a Frankestain.
First, I pasted the 2 moving eyes, each one on each side of the face.
Second I drew, the hair and details in his face.
And finally I change for a bigger maker to fill of the details. I didn´t cut the last pieces of the popsicle sticks until I decided where to put him.
And that´s it! We have Frankestain Ready! Let´s see it how he looks at night :D
Let´s see the Pumpkin.
In this case I just draw 2 triangles and the smile. And I just fill them up with the black marker.
Let´s see it in the night!
The next one is the Ghost.
For this one, I drew the three circles but I first fill them with black paint. But then I noticed that is wasn't dark enough so I decided to do a second layer with the black marker.
Let´s see it at night!
And finally Let´s create the Scarecrow.
For this you will need;
-Thin Rope for the hair
-Brown construction paper for the hat
Fist I took the thin rope and I cut into different strips, I took each fiber of the strips and I pull it back so I can create the hair. I pasted three in each side of the face with tape.
Second, I took brown construction paper and create the hat. For the strip of the hat I pasted an orange popsicle stick. And I pasted it on top of the tape to hide it.
Then I took an orange marker and drew a triangle in the center of the face to create the nose. And also with a black marker I drew his smile.
And finally I glue his eyes! :D
Let´s see it at night!
Now you can arrange like you like it.
Now let´s create a Mummy.
For the Mummy you will need:
- A glass container.
-Toilet paper.
-White paint (optional)
-A brush
-Glue
First, and this step is optional, I painted the glass container with white paint to prevent transparency.
Second, I started with the toilet paper. We need to create the forehead of the mummy by putting the first fold of toilet paper in the border on the container.
Then I took 2 folds and with them I create the triangle that is going to be the background of the eyes.
Then I added the rest of the toilet paper. In this part we can be as messy as we want because we need to create the texture of the mummy.
In the triangle that you we made, we are going to fill it with black paint. Remember to leave it dry for at least two hours before we add the eyes.
Before I pasted the eyes. I decided to add a second layer of toilet paper to create more texture to the mummy and to create clean lines for the eyes. TIP: with the glue and the brush give little touches to the toilet paper to create the texture. But be careful not to rip the toilet paper.
Now let´s paste the eyes! :D And at this point to need to let everything dry overnight.
This is the final result.
Let´s create the Enchanted Forest.
For this tutorial you will need:
- Paper bags
-Scissors.
First. cut stripe on the paper bag until you hit the bottom of the bag to create the branches.
Then open the bag and squeeze everything, and twisted it around to create first the roots and then the branches.
You will have something like this, at this point you will style as you wanted.
